In short, it can be explained as a network of computers from all around the world. It is named as the World Wide Web as the network has grown in the pattern of a web.
The World Wide Web and the Internet have often been believed to be the same but it is not the case. World Wide Web is a part of the Internet though it is emerging rapidly.
The World Wide Web being a distributed network does not have a central computer system. Therefore a client can easily access any server on the Web.
The World Wide Web can be categorized into clients and servers. These two categories form a network known as the client-server network. (more…)
